HYPERION equipment upgrade at GR-IX

In cooperation with M-Lab (Measurement Lab), EETT recently performed a significant upgrade of
Hyperion equipment at the GR-IX (Greek Internet Exchange). All measurement servers (3 production
server and 1 test server) have been replaced with new ones, as well as the optical switch
connecting to the GR-IX, increasing the interconnection capacity from 1 to 10 Gbps.

The performed upgrade allows the Hyperion platform (https://hyperiontest.gr/) to conform to the
modern requirements of broadband measurement systems, ensuring the existence of sufficient capacity
and availability at the measurement servers.

Through the Hyperion platform, end-users can assess the performance of their broadband
connection (speed, delay, delay variation, packet loss rate) and contribute to the supervision of
broadband connection quality by EETT.
