Responsibilities

The responsibilities of EETT entail:

  • Defining the framework based on which premium rate services are provided via 5-digit/10-digit numbers, such as registration process, monthly charge limit and methods of providing information to users.
  • Supervising and monitoring the compliance of premium rate service providers with the regulatory framework to safeguard the rights of users. EETT carries out audits, either on its own initiative or upon a complaint, and may impose penalties where infringements are found.
EETT is not responsible for issues relating to:
  • The content of premium rate services
  • The pricing policy
  • Fraud

The Hellenic Consumers’ Ombudsman is the competent authority for any issues relating to unwanted charges.
