Maria-Eleni Ampelikioti was appointed Member of the Plenary of the Hellenic Telecommunications & Post Commission (EETT) on 30 June 2026.
She is a satellite communications engineer with more than 20 years of experience and significant expertise in satellite spectrum coordination and licensing. She has specialised knowledge of the processes and Radio Regulations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), as well as extensive experience in the management and coordination of satellite filings.
Since September 2023, she has been serving as an engineering advisor at the General Secretariat of Telecommunications and Posts of the Ministry of Digital Governance, focusing on radio spectrum management and licensing. In this role, she contributed significantly to the development of the national regulatory framework for the submission of satellite filings to the ITU. In addition, she held a coordinating role in the new agreement between the Ministry of Digital Governance and HELLAS SAT, aiming at Greece’s participation in the European Government Satellite Communications (GOVSATCOM) programme. She contributed to the design of the new Greek telecommunications satellite and prepared the relevant satellite filing, which was successfully submitted to and published by the ITU. She has also represented Greece in European and international organizations, contributing to the development of new regulatory proposals for radio spectrum use and supporting national positions through targeted interventions.
She has extensive experience advising international companies in the areas of spectrum management and coordination for a wide range of satellite systems, as well as on monitoring regulatory developments and licensing procedures in countries such as France, the United Kingdom and Spain.
Maria-Eleni Ampelikioti is a graduate of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and holds an MBA from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB).
