EETT’s operation to terminate the operation of two illegal TV stations in Kefalonia

In late October, EETT located the transmissions of two illegal TV stations in the island of
Kefalonia. The Police, with the contribution of EETT Patras Regional Office technical experts and a
judicial officer, terminated the operation and confiscated broadcasting equipment for:
- a TV station operating under the name “PLANET” and broadcasting from channel UHF 47.
- a TV station operating under the name “KC” and broadcasting from channel UHF 27 at the
transmission center “Enos”.
Since 2011, when it was established, EETT Regional Office in Patras monitors the radio spectrum
in Western Greece and parts of the Ionian Islands and Epirus regions.
