In order to have access to non-public data, you need to be awarded the “status of “vetted researcher” by submitting an application with information/documents regarding your research project to the European Commission’s DSA Data Access Portal.

- provider of a very large online platform/search engine
Required information/Documents for application submission
You must submit the following information/documents:
- Documentary evidence regarding your participation in the research organization.
- A declaration of independence from commercial interests concerning the specific project.
- Information about the funding of the specific research project.
- A summary of the research topic, including a reference to the digital service provider from whom the data is requested, as well as a description of the data and the research activities to be conducted within this framework.
- The necessity and proportionality of the data access.
- The timeframe of the research.
- The identified risks concerning confidentiality, data security, and the protection of the personal data requested, as well as the measures to be taken to mitigate these risks.Information regarding:
