New Consumer guide for telephony and Internet by EETT

EETT constantly aiming at informing and protecting consumers’ rights presented the ”
Consumer guide for telephony and the Internet“, in an easy to use electronic
edition, available at
www.eett.gr, on the occasion of the
World Consumer Rights Day.

The EETT ”
Consumer guide for telephony and the Internet” includes answers to the 100 most
common consumer questions about their rights and obligations as telephony and Internet users, the
rights and obligations of the providers, the steps towards problem solution, and the role of EETT
in the market as well as the competencies of other authorities in consumer affairs.

Specifically, the
EETT
Guide
focuses on issues such as the portability of telephone numbers, control of billing,
Internet use via smartphone, the use of multimedia information services, the submission of
complaints, etc. It also informs on the
electronic applications that EETT has
developed and are available on its website for consumers and other useful information.

For the completion of the
Consumer guide qualitative and quantitative data were utilized resulting from
EETT’s supervisory controls in the electronic communications market and the management of
requests/complaints by the Consumer Service Sector of the Authority. It is noted that the EETT’s
Consumer Service Sector in 2015 handled 7,319 written consumer requests/complaints.

The EETT “
Consumer guide for telephony and the Internet” is available only in
Greek.
