EETT’s project ”Deployment of an innovative Spectrum Monitoring System in order to reinforce
entrepreneurship through electronic communications sector” has been included in the Operational
Programme “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (EPAnEK) 2014-2020”, according to the
Decision of the Special Secretary for Management of ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) and
CF (Cohesion Fund) Sectoral Operational Programmes, of the Ministry of Finance and Development.
The objective of the project is the deployment and operation of a technologically innovative,
modern and geographically extended Spectrum Monitoring System. EETT, with the new system, aims to
ensure the prompt and transparent handling of providers’ increasing requests for the deployment of
broadband networks, as well as to resolve frequency interference problems. Moreover, in the context
of the new regulatory framework regarding digital television and radio broadcasting, EETT will meet
the expected requirements concerning spectrum supervision. As a result, EETT will contribute to the
promotion of digital economy and entrepreneurship, in addition to the effective management of the
radio frequency spectrum, to the benefit of all users.
The open tender procedure is expected to be launched in 2019 and the project will be
completed in 2023. The allocated budget for the project amounts to 30.000.000 euro in total. The
project is cofunded by the ERDF.
