EETT reduces up to 83% termination fee charges for calls to fixed networks

In a recent decision, EETT imposed to all providers in the Greek market a gradual reduction in
termination fees for calls to fixed networks. Specifically, fees in the wholesale market will be
reduced up to 83% at 0.0735 eurocents/minute by December 31
st 2014.
EETT’s decision is expected to have significant benefits for the consumer, as it promotes the
launch of new economy programs in fixed and mobile telephony with lower retail charges for calls to
all networks.
Fee reductions will continue in 2015, 2016 and 2017, according to the following schedule:

It is noted that since 2006 EETT’s regulatory interventions aiming at
promoting competition and consumer interests have led to an overall reduction of 91% in the
wholesale market for termination fees for calls to fixed networks (0.804 cents per
minute).
