The Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) aims to contribute to the development and better functioning of the internal market for electronic communications networks and services. It seeks to ensure the consistent application of the EU regulatory framework by National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs), with the objective of promoting an effective single market for electronic communications.
EETT participates in BEREC’s activities, contributing to the development of common regulatory approaches in the electronic communications sector. EETT experts participate in BEREC’s working groups, either by coordinating or contributing to the preparation of reports and opinions, as well as to the development of guidelines, in accordance with BEREC’s annual work programme. The experience and technical expertise gained through this participation are applied in EETT’s regulatory and supervisory activities.
EETT held the BEREC Chairmanship in 2013 and 2023, and the Vice-Chairmanship in 2012, 2022 and 2024.
