The Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT) is planning to organise for the second consecutive year a three-day International Conference under the topic "Exploring the Global Dynamics of Broadband Internet". The Conference will take place on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of June 2007, at the Lagonissi Grand Resort Hotel.

The aim of the Conference is to highlight the global dimension of Broadband Internet. The first day of the Conference (Friday, June 1st 2007) will focus on the policies for the promotion of Broadband Internet and more specifically on the national policies that are being implemented, the international partnerships that are being formed for its promotion, as well as on the way that the political parties approach the issue. On the second day (Saturday, June 2nd 2007), discussions will focus on the international applications of Broadband Internet and the regulatory actions taken in this direction. Lastly, the discussions of the third day (Sunday, June 3rd 2007) will aim at conveying a picture of the Greek reality, as far as Broadband Internet is concerned, at market and civil society level.

H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Karolos Papoulias, has been invited to inaugurate the Conference, while H.E. the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Konstantinos Karamanlis, has been invited to make an opening address. In addition, the European Commissioner responsible for Information Society & Media, Mme Viviane Reding, will be the keynote speaker.
Among others, EETT has invited Ministries and National Regulatory Authorities, international organisations active in the field of Electronic Communications, CEOs of the Electronic Communications market, representatives of the academic community, public organisations and consumers' representatives, as well as representatives from non-governmental organisations.
