A graduate of both Science (B.Sc. in Computer Applications) and Business (M.B.S in Management Information Systems), Oonagh O’Reilly has worked for Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg) since 2003. Working on a wide variety of issues, she has provided technical advice to the Commission on market reviews, pricing, numbering, VoIP and NGA related matters. More recently, she has also worked on the co-ordination of a national emergency response plan for the telecoms sector.
Oonagh has worked extensively with the ERG on matters related to NGA, including the recently published policy on “NGA Future Charging mechanisms”. In December 2009, John Doherty (Commissioner, ComReg) took over the chair of IRG and BEREC, and Oonagh has been closely involved in the management and administration that this has entailed.
