The Plenary of the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (ΕΕΤΤ) at its today’s sitting, concluded that the identical increases in the prices of short text messages (SMS) decided and implemented by COSMOTE, TIM and VODAFONE since spring of 2005, constitute a harmonized practice in violation of the free competition legislation, and has therefore decided to impose to each one of the foregoing companies a fine of one million euros (€ 1,000,000.00).
