Finally, 29 interested companies have, after having submitted their requests, also submitted technical dossiers to the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT) for the granting of licenses to make experimental use of radio frequency spectrum at 3.5 GHz .
 
ΕΕΤΤ is currently reviewing the dossiers for completeness in terms of the specifications established, and is working towards the technical coordination of the requests aiming to satisfy as large a number of interested parties as possible and grant the relevant experimental use licenses. The goal is to have the pilot operation of the experimental networks to be licensed start in early February 2006.
 
It is pointed out that such licenses aim exclusively at the testing of new wireless technologies and shall be in force for up to 3 months, and their granting does not guarantee the granting of the definite license.
