Notified bodies are carrying out the tasks described in article 12 of Presidential Decree 44/2002 related to the conformity assessment procedures of the equipment, whenever a third party is required.

The criteria, procedures and details related to the assessment of bodies seeking to become Notified Bodies able to carry out the tasks referred to in Article 12 of Presidential Decree 44/2002 are laid down in EETT Decision 279/32 (Official Gazette 441/B/03) (available in Greek only).

Bodies seeking to be classified as Notified Bodies, able to carry out the above mentioned tasks, should complete and submit the related Application form to EETT for the designation of Notified Bodies, in accordance to the Decision 279/32 (Official Gazette 441/B/03).

The application form, coupled with the required justifications, is submitted in EETT premises or sent to EETT by mail in the following address:

Notified Bodies under the directive 99/5/EK in Greece

By EETT Decision 284/71/30-5-2003, "EMC Hellas Ανώνυμη Εμπορική Εταιρεία Πιστοποίησης Ηλεκτρομαγνητικής Συμβατότητας" with the distinct title "EMC Hellas S.A." was designated as a Notified Body in accordance with Presidential Decree 44/2002 having as application field Appendix IV of the above mentioned PD and with identification number 1002 as this has been assigned from the European Commission.

By EETT Decision 300/21/5-12-2003, the application field of the aforementioned company has been extended to Appendix III of P.D. 44/2002, with the same identification number(1002).

By EETT Decision 441/111/14-06-2007, the designation of the company with distinct title "EMC Hellas S.A.” as a Notified Body, in accordance with Presidential Decree 44/2002, has been extended up to the 10th of December 2010.  The Notified Bodies’ application field is Appendix III and IV of the above mentioned PD and its identification number is 1002 as already assigned from the European Commission.

By EETT Decision 593/012/17-12-2011  the designation of the company with distinct title "EMC Hellas S.A.” as a Notified Body, in accordance with Presidential Decree 44/2002, has been extended up to the 17th of December 2014.” The Notified Bodies’ application field is Appendix III and IV of the above mentioned PD and its identification number is 1002 as already assigned from the European Commission.
