Presidential Decree 44/2002 imposed the obligation on telecommunications network operators to publish the technical specifications of all the interfaces through which they offer services to public, in an exact and suitable manner.

The terms and conditions under which telecommunications network operators publish their interfaces, are laid down in EETT Decision 294/55/2003, (Official Gazette 1590/B/03) (available in Greek only).

This publication will permit manufacturers to design and produce apparatus that could use all the services provided via the respective interface.

The publication of interfaces must be made prior to the moment on which services are provided via these interfaces.
