In accordance with EETT Decision 248/71 - "Regulation on the Provision of Electronic Signature Certification Services" (FEK Issue 603/B/16-5-2002), EETT keeps a Registry of the Certification-Service Providers established in Greece.

According to the article 10 of the above Regulation, all Certification-Service Providers for electronic signatures which are established in Greece, are obliged to declare company related information and services being provided.

Registration / modification or suspension of the services of a Provider in the Registry kept by EETT, as well as the description of the certification services that it provides, take place through a registration statement which the provider fills in, signs and stamps with his seal, and sends to EETT. The Regulation on the Provision of Electronic Signature Certification Services provides for a lump-sum payment of compensatory fees for each notification by the Providers to EETT.

Registration of a Provider in the EETT Registry as a Provider issuing Qualified certificates (as such certificates are specified in PD 150/2001) is based upon solely on the provider's declaration stating that he issues Qualified Certificates.
