George Tsaprounis

Mr.
G. Tsaprounis was born in Athens where he resides. He holds
a Law Degree from Law School of the National University
of Athens. During the course of his studies he was granted
a European Union scholarship through which he attended Commercial
and European Law courses at the University of Rouen, France.
He holds a Master’s Degree in “Information Technology and
Telecommunications Law”, Strathclyde University, Glasgow,
U.K. He speaks English, Spanish and French.
Previously he has worked in the private sector providing
specialised advisory services with regard to the electronic
communications legal framework, especially on the subject
of networks and services, such as 2G and 3G mobile telephony
networks, Fixed Wireless Access, Broadband and Internet.
As a member of a Working Group, he was involved in drafting
a study on aspects of the new E.U. regulatory framework
on Electronic Communications for Greek Research and Technology
Network (GRNET). He also accepted an invitation from the
National Technical University of Athens to teach a seminar
for postgraduates on the above issue.
He is a Lawyer before the Court of Appeals, member of the
Athens Bar Association and he practices law in matters of
civil and commercial law.
Since August 2005, he is a Member of the Hellenic Telecommunications
and Post Commission (EETT).
