Giorgos Mathios
CEO, DIGITAL PROVIDER SA
George Mathios is CEO at “Digital Provider SA”. The company
provides multiplexing and digital broadcast services, and
will have the general management of the digital platform
it will create.
George Mathios has extensive and long experience, having
held executive positions in multinational organizations
and digital technology and TV companies, in Greece and abroad.
Until recently he held the position of Head of Marketing
and Customer Propositions for HSBC Greece. Also, he has
worked as Integrated Marketing Manager at “The Coca-Cola
Company”, SE Europe Division, and has been a member of the
digital marketing global group, where he designed and implemented
the “SoundWave” European Platform. In the same company he
was Head of Olympic Activation, Athens 2004. As part of
these duties, among other things, he implemented for the
first time a TV Olympic channel for the Coca-Cola brand,
winning the Coca-Cola Global Marketing Prize for 2004. Between
2000 and 2002 he was Digital Platform Director for NOVA
at “Multichoice Hellas”, where, among other things, he launched
for the first time interactive TV services in Greece, as
well as the first interactive advertisement. Before that,
he had held executive commercial positions at L’Oreal and
Procter & Gamble Germany.
George Mathios holds an MBA from Manchester Business School.
He has a Mechanical Engineering degree and an MSc from UMIST
and the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
