Kaoru Banno
ΙPv6 Εxpert, ITU

Ms. Kaoru BANNO joined ITU in 2008. Since February 2009, she has worked as part of the IPv6 Project team, which was established to follow up on Resolution 64 – “IP address allocation and encouraging the deployment of IPv6” (http://www.itu.int/publ/T-RES-T.64-2008/en) adopted by ITU members at the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA-08).

Ms Banno was born in Tokyo, and obtained an engineering degree from the Faculty of Engineering at Yokohama National University. Before ITU, she worked for eight years as a network engineer in the largest telecommunication company in Japan: Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT), leading the development of various projects.
