Innovation in broadband networks and services is the driving force for the development of broadband worldwide. Therefore, the strategies for the promotion of innovation, the regulatory interventions for supporting innovation, as well as the influence of competition on its development occupy a prominent and pivotal place.

The international Conference on Broadband Internet, which is being organised for the third consecutive year by the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (ΕΕΤΤ) on the 6th, 7th and 8th of June 2008 in Athens at the Lagonissi Grand Resort Hotel, aspires to highlight and approach the above issues in a thorough way with the presence of distinguished foreign and Greek speakers. This year as well, emphasis will be laid on the Greek market of electronic communications, in an attempt to give an answer to the following question: “Greek Innovation in Broadband Internet: Myth or Reality?”.
