Babis Mazarakis

Babis Mazarakis joined Vodafone-Panafon in May 1999 as Financial Manager. In September 2000, he was appointed Group Financial Director and in February 2001 he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In addition, in May 2004, he undertook the responsibility of the “Supply Chain Management and Company Contracts department”.
From July 2006 onwards and for a seven months’ period, Mr. Mazarakis held the position of CEO at Vodafone Hungary, while in January 2007, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer for Vodafone-Panafon. He is Deputy Chairman in Vodafone-Panafon’s BoD and member of Vodafone Albania’s supervisory council as well as member in Vodafone-Panafon’s affiliated companies BoDs.
For the period 1992-1995, Mr. Mazarakis worked as Financial Analysis Group Manager for Procter & Gamble Hellas, while from 1995 until 1997 he was stationed as Financial Analysis Group Manager for Procter & Gamble Europe in Brussels. From 1997 until 1999, he held the position of Finance Manager for Forth James Hellas SA. (Delica).
In February 2002, the magazine CFO Europe included him among the 30 most distinguished Chief Financial Officers in Europe, who are under 40 years old.
Babis Mazarakis holds a B.A degree in Business Administration (University of Piraeus) and an M.B.A from the Ohio State University with specialty in Finance.
